UNCErtAIN OBJECTS
Uncertain Objects is a series of sculptural works that resist categorization, positioned between vessel, object, and sculpture. Neither functional nor purely representational, the pieces hold a deliberate ambiguity, encouraging slower looking and a moment of pause. Their presence is quiet but intentional, inviting reflection rather than interpretation.
The forms are materially restrained, shaped by controlled processes that allow subtle variation to emerge. Slight shifts in contour, surface, and edge register the hand and the conditions of making, without becoming expressive or narrative.
Light plays an essential role in how the objects are experienced. As daylight changes, surfaces soften or sharpen, shadows deepen, and the work subtly redefines itself within the space. This temporal quality creates a sense of stillness in motion—objects that remain constant, yet are never entirely the same.
